Thompson Center Triumph .50 caliber with a Nikon Omega BDC scope. Quality steel bases and mounts. Some 250 grain Shockwaves, some Triple Se7en 2f powder, Remington Kleenbore primers, short starter, dog bone capper, cleaning patches, cleaning jags, loading jags, gun oil, Windex, cleaning solvent...
+1 except for the powder, I found Blackhorn to be much better in the fact that my group sizes were cut by 1/2 and it is non corrosive, I clean at the end of the seasons, and there is no need to carry clean or wiping stuff in the field there is not only the ability to reload with out swabbing but the fact that it groups better if you don't.Lee
+1 for what Lee said about Blackhorn. Forget the Kleenbore primers with BH, shoot Win 209 or Federal 209a. Ya need Hoppe's or Birchwood Casey to clean up BH. I would shoot a Barnes Origonal 300g with 120g of BH using a Crushed rib sabot and you can shoot 200 yards no problem. Ballistic Coefficient of BO is .291, the SW 300g is .250 I believe, if memory serves me right.2.5" high sight in at 100 yards get you to just short of 200 MPBR.The ballistic chart belowis for 2100 fps, .291 BC, 300g bullet

I was using 2 pellets of pyrodex with the 240 hp/xtp. The distance was 35 yds. I bowhunt and my stand, the area I hunt all revolves around close shots( I like to get close enough to smell their breath ) but when season ends and I did not take my buck with my bow I break out my muzzleloader. I am going to switch to bh 209 and try other bullets to find what works best for me and the accura at longer ranges. After the shot this buck went several feet and fell, went through the left shoulder, broke the right leg but did not go through, was in the leg skin, he has a20" spread.

I am going with the Triumph, but now I am just trying to figure out if I want to go with the Prostaff or Omega. I have read some have mounting issues with the Omega, but this is where I am at.

I am biased.. but outstanding choice on the rifle - I bet and hope that it will serve you and the princess well..

Have you looked at the Leupold Ultimate Slam scope? I have a friend in New Mexico that is using one on his White and he really likes it...

Check your PM's when you get a chance....

waell, I'm pimping the Accura ;). Can't help myself ... it's a great rifle. But apparently so too is the TC Triumph even though I've not owned one. Seems like every owner of the Triumph becomes an instant fan -so that speaks very well for the rifle. My guess is you will also be a convert.

I have an optima elite w/ a nikon omega scope. If I had to do it over again, I would drop the coin on a encore ph with the same scope.

More than likely it would be a Triumph with a Leatherwood/Hi Lux Toby Bridges ML scope
I do love the Accura though.
