Traded my optima to coryj for his cabelas hawken .45cal. He was nice enough to throw in a box of round balls a 2 packages of buffalo conicals. Rifle is darn nice too! I plan on letting my 13yo nephew use this one for his first hunt *Hopefully next year* Its pretty light with the .45cal on her.

I'll take some pics as soon as i finish cleaning it up.

Fg,
I have one just like that with the short barrel, I thought would be 1:28 twist or I think cabelas says 1:24 but the ramrod doesn't even turn 1/2 turn top to bottom so it is a 1:48. Just wondering what yours was?

FG,

Glad you like it. I checked the tracking # last night and couldn't believe it hadn't been delivered, but today I saw that it was. Ignore the email I sent you to go pick it up. Hopefully you like it as much as I like the optima.

Pretty wood on that thing. Should be a fine shooter once you get the Corey Curse off of it. If you send it to me I'll walk it around Marie LaVeau's grave three times counter clockwise to remove the curse.

I got that pitted .50cal barrel cleaned up with steelwool and flitz so i will run some 385gr great plains conicals through that one tomorrow to smooth out the rest. After that the .45 gets 3 shots at 50 yards.

Oh! My mistake. No wonder FG was able to get it to shoot right off.
