Sighted In Encore For Elk Hunting
 

Took the Encore to the range today to finish sighting it in for elk hunting.

Gun: .50 Encore
Bullet: 350 grain FPB
Powder:120 grains Goex 2F Pinnacle
Primer: Winchester 209 shotgun

Distance: 100 yards
Wind:None

Took several tries to geton the target. Then i fired two more rounds. This is the group on the left. One of thosetwo topbullets is from a swabbed barrel. The other two are from a dirty barrel. Had some 370 grain Maxi Balls along so i loaded one into the dirty barrel and shot it off.
This is the hole you see in the right hand target at 5:00.

This thing shoots better than my wildest dream. Heck, i may even take the gun back to ghe range next week and try it some more with those 370 grain Maxi-Balls.

Got the elk located if they will just stay there until December 6th.

That is some amazing shooting.. you have to be pleased with that. Great rifle.
