Winchester Apex 209 w 250 gr SST LD
I finally got a nice still day and made a trip to the range after work. I have been waiting totestthe Hornady 250gr SST Low Drag in my Winchester Apex 209, and all I can say is WOW! They are by far the most accurate and east loadingbullet/sabot combination I have tried. The 245 gr Powerbeltsare terrible in comparison. I fired a 4 shot group with the 250gr SST's with 2-50 gr 777 pelletsat 100 yards off a Benchmaster using a 1X Nikon scope and the group size measured 2 1/8". I did swab the barrel between all but 1 shot. Ido needmention that a used a Spin Jag for the first time also, I cannot say for sure whether or not that may have been a major factor in the results, but it sure is a great product and makes perfect sense when loading.I amimpatientlywaiting to see how well that bullet works on a whitetail buck in a little over a week, HOPEFULLY!
