Big Ontario 6 Point

The controlled hunt here in South Western Ontario ( 1 week with muzzle loaders ) just ended . Our group did fairly well again this year considering how darn hot it was ( we froze in t5he morning and wore short sleeves in the afternoon ) .

My son youngest had no luck again this year . I was able to take a good doe with my crossbow ( the Saturday before the controlled hunt started ) and another with my ML . Brad my hunting partner took a button buck and then a 6 point .
Brad dropped the beast with a Black Diamond loaded with 2 Triple 7 pellets and a horandy 250 grain sst at 65 yards . dropped him in his tracks.

The 6 point came in at an honest 270 # He does have the luck of the Irish when it comes to good bucks . Here are a few pictures of Brads buck .

I have never seen a 6 point this size ever

Dang nice animal... I sorta agree with the young man standing in the background of the last picture, with his hands behind his head - I am sure he is thinking WOW!...

A great deer no doubt.

When I saw the 270# weight I thought it must be huge, but I see that was live wieght. Estimated dressed weight of 211........still a great deer and VERY nice rack. If I see anything close to that tomorrow AM, I'm shooting.
