Oil vs bore butter question

For those who do not believe in bb, what oil do you use to protect the inside of your barrel? Does RemOil work?

Rem oil with teflon. One damp patch, both sides and then wait a few minutes and run a dry patch to mop up excess oil.

i use Rem Oil during hunting season. It the gun will not be fired for awhile i use Militec. Militec has protected the guns in my safes while I worked overseas for as long at two years. Never any rust.

Rem Oil, Birchwood Casey Sheath a.k.a. Barricade, Breakfree CLP, Mili-tec, WD-40, all of them work... The main thing before putting any oil in your barrel is do so with a dry barrel. Granted many of these oils have a water displacement ability, but why worry if they did the job. I use Birchwood Casey Sheath the most of all of these.

I use a product called Slip 2000 - It is synthetic oil develped for the military as their existing oils would attract to much dust and dirt on the the deserts...

Here is a test done several years ago on various oils
