already have a scope mount. got that last year.

going to start casting and reloading for it. I have a mold on order already. ;)

That SKS will make a great home defense or SHTF gun. I would do the magazine conversion so you can use high cap AK mags (the mags are rather cheap) and stock up on ammo. When the mob comes to your door that SKS will sure as heck pull the welcome mat right out from under the bad guys.

I can get removable mags for it. up to 40rds. but if I get them I have to do change the stock to meet the standing regs. 922r.

I do have an para model with a muzzlebreak on it. so it is a little louder. ;)

On the plus side, I had told my wife awhile back about some of his intents for gun owners and the cost of getting a gun going up and all. The other night when he gotelected I mentioned something about it again, and she said I probably should get at least one more before the end of the year.

Reminds me of a joke I just heard, but I can't tell it here. I'm pretty sure it would be considered threatening or something like that.
