Renegade Stock
Dose anyone know if you can make a flintlock fit into a caplock stock with out to much trouble? I called t/c and said it can't be done.

RE: Renegade Stock
Probably not because the inletting is completely different. At least on my Lyman it is.

RE: Renegade Stock
Some rifles you can, some you can not. I was going to do that once, and after checking different things decided it was easier to purchase a flintlock rifle and have my original rifle as well.

RE: Renegade Stock
I asked that very same question on the Flintlock Rifles section of The Muzzleloading Forum. The consensus seemed to be it's an easy switch for the Renegade and TC Hawken. Check this thread.

RE: Renegade Stock
Well I must be really lucky. Because I am constantly switching between flint and percussion on both my T/C Hawkens and on my Renegades. There is some minor inletting that may be required depending on your lock configuration but its no big deal.
