Finally got out for some range time:D I bought some 200g Hollow Point, 40cal Berry's Bullets, from Cabelas, 250 bullets for about $42 bucks-About .17 cents a bullet. All shots taken with about 90grains of powder, and using some TC Green 45/40 cal sabots. http://www.berrysmfg.com/ http://www.berrysmfg.com/categories/14-10.php ![]() ![]() ![]() And Here is some fun shooting:D;) Shooting .36 cal round balls in a PR Bullet, 45/.357 cal Orange Sabot, with about 90grains of powder ![]() Felt really good getting out there shooting!:):D;) . |

Nice shooting! Do you think the Berry bullets are good for hunting, or just targets? I have seen those around and liked their price, but wasn't sure if they are designed for hunting or just plinking. I would imagine they have the same trajectory and impact as a 200 grain .40 cal XTP- you could use the Berry's for target practice and the XTP's for hunting. You ever try shooting a .357 mag bullet in the .45/.357 sabot? I've always been interested, but I only am able to get to the range a couple times a year, and haven't had the time to try it out.

I'm gonna run some expansion test's in wet phone books, and see how they do.
Also gonna try the MMP 45/40cal tan sabots as well. These bullets are harder than the 200g 10mm/40cal XTP, And my Disc Elite can shoot the XTP's MOA with those Tan MMP sabots. |
