Endeavor range report
 

Well i got to shoot the endeavor again today. It was a little windy and a blistering 35 degrees, but we still shot for a few hours. At least i found a good shooting load. But at the end of the day, i was cleaning the gun and hadit leaned against the table and it fell over. Got a little rash on the tip of barrel and scratched the scope cap up. THIS is why i tell myself, DONT buy anything NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would still be gagging. The scope manufacturer will probably send you new caps for nothing, the damage on the end of the barrel could be very lightly and repeatedly peened with a tiny hammer to smooth most of that out - if it's shiny afterwards a bit of light rubbing insmall circular motions with a real ScotchBrite pad will dull it and if you are very careful it will be a close match to the original finish. The extractor shouldn't cost too much and TC might even be generous if you tell them what happened.

I called Burris when i got home, and a new cap is on the way free of charge, no questions asked, he actually is sending me a new set of 2.

All heck, it's blooded now . You can hunt it harder and not worry too much about skuffing it up. It now has what you calll 'your character'! That;s the way to look at it my friend, otherwise you puke! Good Hunting.

UC, ill give that small hammer thing a try tonight, i was thinking a real fine grit nail file might work since the end of the barrel in beveled where it is, well see, cant hurt it now!
