Thanks to you all.

I have hated my T/C Encore Muzzleloader ever since the first day a shot it. Its only been a couple of years and I have read many posts on this sight and tried a bunch of different suggestions. Today I recieved my first 10 oz bottle of BlackHorn 209. Alls I can say is WOW. Great stuff. New scope 2 weeks ago shot a few times100gr777and quit. Today after bore sight 2 shots @ 30yds with slight adjustment and 2 @ 75yds 1.5" high with slight adjust and in the bull. No patching 4 shots easy loading and clean group. Its the first time for me with a muzzleloader that each time I made a click on the scope the bullet moved accordingly. Thank you very much for all the info on this sight. Now I am going to clean it with som Hoppes #9 which sounds like it is okay to use. Any cleaning tips would be helpfull. I dont think with BK 209 any of the T/C cleaners work?

To clean blackhorn get a quality gun solvent. Birchwood Casey Bore Scrubber, Hoppie #9, Montana X-Treme (BlackHorn claims is made forcleaning)Solvent, and of them. It will take any Blackhorn fowling right out. Do not use a water product.

Use a small drill bit (by hand)to clean the flame channel of your breech plug. The carbon deposits in breech plugs with BH209 are terrible. Dipping the bit in a bit of the Hoppes helps. You may not have shot enough to see the build up though. Should be about a1/8" bit or a hair under.

Cleaned up good. Getting ready for tomorrow which is opening day here for muzzle loader season. Loaded up some speed loads tonight and found the BH209has a static problem? My grain measuring device is plastic, and the speed load is plastic. The BH209 seemed it would rather stick to the plastic . Its weird stuff. It did not want to pour out of 1 plastic to go into the other.Has any body else had this or just me?

Wipe the inside of your empty loaders with a fabric softener, then fill them and see how they work.

Thanks guys. The dryer sheet works great. Almost touched off today. Passed on a small bodied 8pt. He was crusing at noon.
