BC Moly lube does it again!!
:D:D After reading the other post about the firing pin sticking on a .45 optima i went and got mine and sprayed some carb cleaner into the hole and let it dry, squirted some moly lube into there and then proceeded to spray down the hammer area and inside the guts.
Damn if i didnt end up with a smooth crisp 2 1/2lb trigger. |

The more I read about firing pins that stick, and breeches that do not close up tight, the more I like my old fashion hammer striker models.. I know if the spring is strong & the trigger clean, they are going to work.

Damn if i didnt end up with a smooth crisp 2 1/2lb trigger. I lessened the trigger pull on my CVA Wolf buy cleaning the firing pin area real good. And while I had the barrel off I pulled back the hammer, when the firing pin was fully recessed I squirted itand around the trigger with a heavy stream of Rem Oil with Teflon. Worked the hammer and trigger back a forth. Worked great. |

FG, post a pic of the facing of the firing pin inside the action of your Optima. Compare it to this one

did in the other post UC. The slotted screw is a lot thinner on mine and i cant find a screw driver to fit.
Even the firing pin on yours look the same as mine. |
