I thought so too but they shoot so well in the Optima.
Looking at blowing 9 shots off at 100 yards today.
Got to fill the sand bucket up with sand so i can test those 6 bullets out that i filled with pellets.

I am going to do the testing at 58 yards due to my water bucket @100 not having any water in it. Starting to get really dry out here.
In the meantime i am going out to 100 yards with the normal load for final tune up.

RE: Well all be darned!
Lets start at the top. Those 3 shots shots were from yesterday, when i switched over to the cci 209m primer. Originally was 3 1/2 high with w209 primers but once i switched over to the cci's it went up for a total of 7 3/4"
next 3 shows down in a horizontal group were after 10 clicks down and right where i wanted it.
Now we have 3 shots today with the CCI which were perfect! #1 shot on an oil bore blew the group! #2 and #3 shots were in the same hole as you can see. That's a first for this rifle, with powerbelts @ 100 yards! Thanks to shot #1, its a 2 1/4" group from center to center. I am not going to complain as #2-3 shows me what it can do.
Next time i try this i am not going to oil the bore and see what it does.
Going to swab the bore, fill up my sand bucket with damp sand and try those pellet powerbelts out at 58 yards.

They do the job i was hoping for! They remind me of some XTP's that i shot into my sand bucket.
The reversed shallow HP pellet came out a lot smoother overall while the Flat point Left a chunky bottom.
i am going to take 3 shots @ 100 yards with the Shallow HP @ 100 yards, see how they group and then tomorrow i will do the same with the Flat point.
Depending how they shoot, i will more than likely be using the powerbelt with the pellet in the center.
You can see the pellet in the middle of each bullet.
