Encore vs Triumph

Im in the market for a new ML. Ive narrowed it down to the basic Encore or the Triumph. Other than the fact that the Encore can switch barrels, is there any other reason I should pay more for an Encore than just stick to the Triumph? Im having trouble finding anyone with the base model Encore any more!

One fear I have is that the Triumph is relatively new. As with anything, Im leary that the bugs will be found AFTER I get the Triumph!

RE: Encore vs Triumph

I have a Triumph and it shoots better than any other gun I have( and I have 8), I have a friend who has the Encore and I prefer the triumph. ( If you don't want to switch barrels that is). I have sighted mine in at 100 yards and with a BDC reticle have been shooting out to 200 yards no problem . It's dead on. Easy to clean and shoots great. It doesn't like powerbelts though but it loves the superglide shock waves , the Hornady FPB, Precison dead center, Scorpion Pt's and a few other sabots I've tried.
The Encore is a good gun so you can't go wrong either way, I just personally like the Triumph. Good luck on your decision

Don't know about the Encore, but I love the way my Triumph shoots with 110gnv Bh209 and 300gn Remington Hp's. Out to 200yds it's as accurate as my Savage.

Triumph or Endeavor, for muzzle loading. The basic encore has a few problems in comparison to either. Lee

RE: Encore vs Triumph

Well, I have the basic Encore .50 cal, Black Synthetic stocks and Stainless Receiver and Barrel. I'm shooting 300 gr Noslers with 110 gr BH209 and its very accurate to 200 yds. I will admit that I had a trigger job on mineand most of them need it bad anyway.

I like the versatility of being able to go with a rifle at any time, but I rarely do.

Thanks for the input guys.....I probably will rarely if ever convert to a rifle but just seems the option should be left open. Id hate to have the Triumph and wish I could convert!

hopefully someone who has shot both will chime in for you. I know first hand the Triumph is a shooter all the way out to 200yds, and when im at the range with my buddy, by the time i pick up all the shot FPJ from my Knight off the ground, he has hisTriumph cleaned and oiled.Im curious to as to how the new Endeavor shoots myself.
