Speed breech XT Triumph-Endeavor

Was wondering if any triumph or endeavor owners knew how much usable barrel you had with the speedbreech xtand the QLA ? Seems like you would loose about 3-4" off a 28" barrel ?? Im considering buying one of the guns and was just curious. Thanks Bob

RE: Speed breech XT Triumph-Endeavor

revpilot, If you don't count the QLA its 25 inches, with the QLA made the way it is now I do count it that makes it 26 inches. All they do to make the new QLA is remove the land so the barrel is grove diameter, I form a lead slug and lap that area. My own theory and it works for me. Also if you use the new Black Horn powder it is progressive burning and don't getthe use out of a long barrel like Black powder or Pyrodex or 777; The pressure peak is longer and closer to the breach. PS this is my opinion derived from my own equipment and testing you are welcome to disagree I don't mean to start a controversy.
