OT Crossbow Buck / Video Added
I killed a buck this morning
About 7:00 I saw a doe moving to my left but had no shot,She was being followed by a small rack buck, still no shot. They both disappeared and a few minutes later the buck came out in my shooting lane. He was oblivious to the blind. I use a primos trigger stick and leveled the crosshairs on him. He was quartering to me.The G5 Montec hit him right behind the left shoulder went all the way through and exited about 10" behind theright shoulder. The shot was 25 - 27 yards and the deer went 25 - 35 yards. He is a six point I was hunting out of a Doghouse Ground Blind If you look at the picture the deers eyes have some sort of skin problem and swelling around them. He has the same growths on his chin and over most of his body. I called the Game Warden and they took the deer for testing but I kept the rack. I dont know which looks worse him or me! I was shooting an Excalibur Equinox Boo string Groundpounder quiver mount G5 Montec GT Lazer II's Here is the recovery Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pe7vZLwB6p8 _____________________________ |

RE: OT Crossbow Buck
I dont know which looks worse him or me! Well, first you have to tell us which is which. :D Great first hunt of the season. Congratulations. One of the guys killed a big wart covered doe on our lease two years ago. It was a harmless fibrona skin disease caused by a virus. The biologist said themeat was fine, but no one wanted it. |
RE: OT Crossbow Buck
Congratulations on the deer. I agree. If there is a possibility of the animal being contaminated, then let them have it for testing. Although deer meat is one of my favorites. Especially when I make Venison Salami... :D

Chap I can kill two a day during Archery, either sex I put my buddy in my blind last night and he killed a 7 point.Marginal shot,he called me out of the bed I WAS TIRED.and I went in with him and found him. Entrance wound was high,no exit, the buck took to water and went 200 yards,we never did find the arrow. Man these southern swamps are spooky at night.EEEEEEWWWWWW! |
