Triumph- Shots Tend to Rise
 

Guys, I need your help. I am shooting the new Triumph .50 ML using 100 grains of Triple 7 pellets and the 250 grain Super Glide Shock Wave sabots. The picture I have attached shows how my shots rise as I shoot shot after shot. My first shot is the hole that is closest to the target, which was shot out of a cold barrel. The second shot is directly above the first shot, and the thrid above the 2nd shot and so on. Can anyone tell me why my shots continue to rise after each shot I take? I ran a spit patch and then a dry patch down the barrel between each shot and waited at least 5 mintues between each shot. Does anyone else have this probelm when shooting their ML? Any help or insight would be much appreciated.

Similar thing happened to me the last time I shot my Triumph except the shots went down and to the left. I checked the base and mounts to ensure they were tight. All secure there. So I sent my scope off to Bushnell for repairs.

Climbing shots can be caused by a number of reasons.. Barrels can heat up. You can be changing the hold of the rifle as you shoot, because as you come down from shooting the last shot, you can relax or tense. Swabbing the barrel is important. Were you swabbing between shots and using a dry patch.

It might like just a little different powder load. Kick the charge up ten grains and see what happens. It might like a different sabot. If the sabots are loading real loose, then try a different sabot.

All you can do is try different things. I would start with kicking the powder charge a little and making sure I swab the barrel real good. See if that helps.
