TC Triumph loads

Hey all, I'm new to muzzleloading and just picked up a new Triumph .50 calwith a Nikon Omega scope. I'm looking for tips on loads that work well with this gun. Through alot of reading and research here I've already ordered some Blackhorn 209 powder, Triple7powder & pellets,Speer Gold Dot .452 250g, Hornady XTP .452 250g, Harvester CR sabots, TC shockwave 250g,and Hornady 250gSST's. I'd be most interested in recipes that work well with these. Any other tips or advice is also appreciated. Thanks!

110g BH 209, CCIM 209, TC bonded Shockwave 250g in a Harvester short black sabot

This load seems to shoot well in most Triumphs. First three shots out of my Triumph using the above combo gave me a 3/4" group at 100 yards.

cant answer for a deer load BUT for an elk load
110-120 gr /209 and a barnes 290tmz or 300 mz
over a winchester 209 primer will shoot very nice out of that mz
i should thin theyd work on deer too.

I will post a few Targets, I held the best on back a .210 group because it was a fluke I have not repeated, these are my normal targets shot with Triumph, BH209, and either 250 SW or 250 Gold Dot the ones with the Gold Dot were shot with 110gr the ones with the 250 SW were shot with 120 BH. Lee

This one shows the differance in sabots, each gun will like different sabot bullet combinations. Lee

This is the 50/40 SW with the two sabots available, the Triupmh shots good with the MMP the Omega shoots good with the new harvestor Crush Rib 50/40 the barrels on both guns are.500 by measurement on a slug formed to the barrel. Lee

This is what I look for. Conditions and the gun and shooter have to be right to do this with a muzzle loader this is the best I have ever done. Lee

Now THAT'S SHOOTING. Almost like the following bullets had a homing device on the first one. Sabots do make a difference, don't they. But you're right - the planets and stars must be in perfect alignment.

Not to sure about the stars and planets, but a cloudy windless day about 70 degrees really helps. Lee

Hello there deerkiller13. 250 yards is a pretty ambitious goal. I'm no good at all past 175 yards. You need to give us a little info on your background. Would this be your first muzzleloader? Are youexperienced withcartridge rifles? If you are already shooting, what gun/loads/distances have you shot? You might want to start a new post with your question, and provide some background informaton. I'm sure the guys here will have lots of advicefor you.
