RE: Looking for a live scorer
145-155 if you see him when its daylight. Nice buck
|
RE: Looking for a live scorer
the coons or the deer?
|
RE: Looking for a live scorer
Don't know, but now you do know the best time to hunt him!!!:D:D:D
|
RE: Looking for a live scorer
I'd say 140-145
|
RE: Looking for a live scorer
He comes out of the thicket and lets me see him now and then its had to be sure which one I am looking at as the only differance between him and his look alike is how far the white goes below his chin. Was hpeing he would have 12 points this yearhes been hanging around for about 5 years that I know of which would make him 6 or 7 wont get much bigger. Lee

RE: Looking for a live scorer
I'm gonna say close to 160, I think he's a better deer than he looks in that photo. Hope you get him.
|
RE: Looking for a live scorer
Looks like sometime around 3 am would be a good time to hunt him. Time to get the night scope on the old ML.
Usually a guy like this sticks to cover during the day. Best time to hunt this guy will be when the does start cycling. I would concentrate on him on the 1st or second week in Nov. |
RE: Looking for a live scorer
145 -155
Nice buck I have a 270 grain platinum Powerbelt AT with his name on it |
RE: Looking for a live scorer
That is a great buck.. he's worth shooting that's for sure. But it is hard to score them until you actally get your hands on them. I am sure he's a 150 class buck, maybe higher. I just wish I had him in my woods.
All them big ones seem to be night movers. Good luck hunting him. |
RE: Looking for a live scorer
160 popped into my head at first glance. Need to see a frontal view along with a yard stick laid across his rack for reference. ;)
|
RE: Looking for a live scorer
I would score him as about a72.
Two 14 oz. tenderloins, plus Two 4 lb. backstraps, plus Six 5 lb. boneless roasts, plus Twelve lbs. of chunked stew meat, plus Twenty lbs. of ground meat. |
RE: Looking for a live scorer
He stays under cover alot when its hot but he cant be to far away he comes to the little feeder most days or maybe I should say nights him and thtwo that hang out with him stay under cover a lot in the day time when its hot, start seeing him during the day about the 1st of Nov.[ the day after Muzzle loader season]Lee

RE: Looking for a live scorer
Lee he is a nice one , Good tine length looks like some good mass I would score him between 150 & 155 With out seeing his width. But hes is deff. a wall hanger for sure. |
RE: Looking for a live scorer
162 1/8th is my guess
but its safe to say he's a 155-163ish buck |
RE: Looking for a live scorer
Lee,I cant tell from the picture. But for the time of year I am assuming that he's still in velvet?
|
RE: Looking for a live scorer
yes he'e still in velvet
I may correct my score to 158 and 1/8th now LOL |
RE: Looking for a live scorer
Hes defiantly in velvet, at least half his rack is for sure, I was hauling some sweet feed with the tractor and as I went by the creek I looked over the bank and he was standing in the creek be hind a half down tree the last storm partly up rooted, about 25 yds , just right for my cross bow but I would have taken him with the ugly compound too, part of his rack was hidden. I would bet he will go 240 or 250 that really big for an AR deer. Lee

RE: Looking for a live scorer
I sure hope you get him
