Thanks everyone!

Well, I finally got to do some testing with my new omega yesterday and lets just say that I am very pleased.
After talking with Sabotloader , a while back, I decided to shoot the 250gr Gold dots. He also recommended that I try several kinds of sabots. Yesterday I shot several groups using the gold dot and different sabots. I was floored by the results. I had no idea that I would be able to get these kinds of groups.
Anyway,I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on the site for all the valuable info. Sabotloader, semisane, lemoyne, cayugad, gleason, etc. I have read this forum for hours and hours and have learned from everyone. THANKS ALOT!
Attached is a pick of my best group from 100yds. 250gr. Gold dots, 2x50gr 777 pellets, mmp hph-24 sabots, and 777 primers.
Going back this afternoon to see if I can do it again!

Wow SC, that's a dandy group! You've got a shooter there and those Gold Dots will preform beautifully.

Maybe we should be asking you questions!! WOW!!! that is some great shooting there. good luck with your rifle.

What sabot did you find was the one that worked best in your rifle?

Cayugad, I was shooting the mmp hph-24 sabots when I shot this group. I also tried the mmp 3-petals. With the 3-petals the first two shots were close and the third was about 1.5 inches to the right. I could have pulled it though. I don't shoot as much as I should.

Thanks... I just got in four packs of the HPH-24 and I have the Gold Dots, so I will have to play with my Black Diamond XR. They have similar barrels as your rifle. You sure can not argue with a group like that, and a deer would never stand a chance.

Excellent shooting there SC Sportsman.I regret to inform you that you are now infected with muzzleloaderitis. It in not curable. However, it is enjoyable. :)

That is one beautiful group, your on. 6 clicks left and 8 clicks up and your good to go from 0 to 175 yards approximately. It does kinda floor you at what these muzzleloaders will shoot, now wait till you hit something with that 250 GD, your not going to see a 150 yard trailing job, it will be boom flop or less than 30 yards. Big bullets going slow (relatively slow) are just a deadly as small bullets going fast.
Best Wishes for this season in SC,
Chap Gleason

Well I couldn't replicate what I did yesterday. Call it luck, moon phase, star alignment, whatever. I guess it was just my day yesterday.
Its still shooting great, just not tearing holes. Thats ok though. I bet the deer won't be able to tell the difference
