I never thought I sell my 54 t/c flinter but I am funding another project
The renegade built by me a few years back (Kit gun) from the 70's will tack drive RB's with 95 grains of goex 3F patched RB anda wad under the patch
The lock is a new style with the improve hammer also has 2 frizzen stock t/s and a fitted lyman frizzen.I have also will add 160 round balls hornady jag,cloth case
The stock tang is glass-beded new improve liner,steel all brown and 30 coats of tung oil.The sight are the older style rear square notch front wears a fiber optic red post
the gun itself is excellent and it drive tacks

Lonewolf - that's a pretty rifle for sure but the price tag is a little steep. I wish you well. But honestly, I just paid $170 for a like new perc. 54 Renegade and I can pic up a 50 cal one for $195. I think you will be hard pressed to get $250 for you rifle. But good luck to you. Maybe they are selling higher where you live. Let us know how your new project comes out.

I have to agree with bronko on the price being a little high. Personally, I would not pay that. I have a .50 flinter from the 70's that was not a kit that I will never sale because it was my grandfathers. If it wasn't his, I would look to get about $225-275. Kit guns seem to bring in less than factory guns because the t/c warranty does not apply to kit guns.

Do a search of completed auctions on ebay, gunbroker, and auction arms to get a price. A complete flintlock without barrel recently went for $200 on ebay. A .54 barrel went for $120, butanother .54 barrel didn't get a bid (both percussion). Locks (flint) have been fetching upwards of $70 on ebay. You just need to get hooked up with the right buyer.

All that being said, good luck on a nice looking gun.
