Did i hear someone call my name?:D:D

80 grains 2f pyrodex with the 295gr Powerbelt Aerotip or hollow point. Sighted dead on @ 100 yards, you'll be about 7 to 8" low at 150 yards.

See my forum to learn how to properly shoot the Powerbelt bullet. Lots of bullet testing.

If you want to use the 100gr charge use the 270gr Platinum and for 150gr charges use the 300 or 338. Keep in mind that 150 grains is meant for Long distance shooting. Its a waste of powder in my opinion and will only cause uncomfortable recoil and flinching.

Just to show you, this is what to expect with a 295gr Aerotip @ 100 yards and the 80gr pyrodex rs charge,

100 or 150 gr. pellets?
go with loose. lot cheaper and get more shots.

with the rest, I have not hunted with powerbelts, I have only worked with them at the range.

I am working with 295gr hp powerbelts out of my knight usak with 75grs of loose triple 7 2f. also worked with 245gr hp with 85grs of loose pyrodex rs. most of my shots are going to be less than 100yrds.

Do a search - you will find far more suggesting to find an alternative then you will find saying use them.
Most in fact consider them marginal at best - and most of these have speaking from experiance.

If you are just beginning the Powerbelt might be the place to start, although they are expensive. I believe you can find less expensive easy loading bullets out there.

I would suggest if you must shoot a conical in your state then there arealso more reliable conicals available. If you can shoot a jacketed bullet with sabot you will be miles ahead when it comes bullet perfomance in game.

But again if you are just starting and learning - make it as easy as possible and a PB is about as easy as it gets...
