Ran into a problem- Solutions?
[>:] May have sold the omega. Have 2 buyers wanting it.
Question: CVA Accura SS/T-HOLE/CAMO OR CVA Optima Elite, SS/CAMO In 50cal or 30-06? |
RE: Ran into a problem- Solutions?
FG - The only inline I ever owned was a CVA Optima Pro in the Black/blue configuration. That rifle never failed me and was plenty accurate. I would assume the SS/camo would be just as good if not better. I just never got hooked on the inline route and have stuck with the traditional rifles.

RE: Ran into a problem- Solutions?
Both handle well and feel good in my hand. The ones I looked at had good fit and finish. I think both have the Bergara barrels so quality should be good. If it were me I would lean toward the Elite simply because of the multi barrel option and the fact that it's been out longer.

RE: Ran into a problem- Solutions?
get the Accura, dern it! :D

RE: Ran into a problem- Solutions?
I like the high priced one, since it is your money, but in reality they all will shoot excellent and about the same. It is beauty you are choosing not function.

RE: Ran into a problem- Solutions?

But I would get the Optima Elite for the multi barrel option On the other hand. Hell,I'm no help Get um both:D |
RE: Ran into a problem- Solutions?
Ah just had an idea!
I got a 30-30 i could possibly trade off to a couple local shops and get either a aught six or 270 out of the trade. |
RE: Ran into a problem- Solutions?
I looked at a Optima today when I was at Wal Mart. I am glad I did because I did not like the looks of it. Also the sales person was not really interested in letting me fondle them so it was easy to walk away from the. The CVA that really impressed me was the Buckhorn Magnum.. Kind of a nice rifle.

RE: Ran into a problem- Solutions?
You know it's funny you should mention this, as I was just thinking the same thing myself. We recently just got a little unexpected money, and I was thinking I needed another ML. I have to convince my wife first though, so we'll see. I was thinking a KP1 would be good, but then I also remember that before I got my KRB, I was surprised at how comfortable I thought the Optima was to shoulder. And the Elite is a lot cheaper than the KP1. But, then I saw the Accura thumbhole with camo/stainless, and I was stricken. So, now I don't know what to do. I think the Accura looks a lot better, but then the Elite is a lot cheaper and the additional barrel options are always nice.
So.... you should get them both and give me a thorough review on both so I know which one I want. |
RE: Ran into a problem- Solutions?
I did NOT squeal like a pig. :D FG, you can't possibly believe you are ahead of me on buying rifles just to check them out.[:-]
One of you buy a derned Accura and give us a report... a good report, a thorough an honest report, and shoot some Bull Shop conicals in it. Warning - do not use conicals in a CVA rifle heavier than 400 grains. - - why not? |
RE: Ran into a problem- Solutions?
i belive 400 grain limit is with a 3 pellet load.
Plenty of cva shooters out there using the 460gr no excuse conicals in their rifles with no problems. Of course they shoot a comfortable 80-90gr load. |
RE: Ran into a problem- Solutions?
I say Accura, just because no one seems to have one yet and we need a thorough testing done & range report:)
