Thinking about adding an Encore
Handled an Encore at Gander Mnt. yesterday. It was a .50 cal with the blued barrel and black synthetic stock. The price was $469 I believe. I love my Omega but what will one more MLhurt. Plus, I can get a new fore end and barrels for centerfire cartridges down the line. I am not sure how good the price is but I have a few gift certificates.

Check out the Endover Encore, I looked one over the other day, I only have 17 muzzleloader and I need one more to make it even, now all I have to do is convince the wife. Lee

I am sure her response will be "Lee, you need another MLer like I need a hole in the head." and you can say what to that?

RE: Thinking about adding an Encore
I love mine
I killed two deer with it that day
245 grain Powerbelt AT over 2 - 50 grain Pyrodex pelletts
The buck was about 85 yards and the Doe about 100
Both dropped in their tracks as far as I could tell,if they did move they were down before the smoke cleared.
They were shot at Fort MCcllean in Anniston Alalbama 1/15/08 within an hour
That is a good price.
I paid a little less for mine because the camo was discontinued (big deal) and they were having a 30% off sale.
I do wish it had some of the features of the Pro Hunter / Endevor like the speed breach, swing hammer (I put an aftermarket spur on mine for right or left) the extractor that moves out of the way so I can pull the breech plug without removing the barrel.
The barrells are quite pricey,I think in some cases you could buy a new gun for what they charge for some of the barrells plus a new forend.
But to me nothing else feels like it,I just like it
I have a 270 barell for it also
I would get it,thats a good price
