What I meant was, if any of you guys think you might want it for $75 plus shipping cost, I'll take a look at it,check its condition, and let you know what I find. Then if you want it I'll handle the purchase and shipping for you. Can't beat a deal like that - but remember, I'm semisane.

Hmmm.... It does look awful nice. If it would have been here a month ago, I would have bought it with the excuse "it's for the kid when he gets older." But now with the wife being really pregnant, somehow I don't think she would agree. Apparrently her financial priorities are a little different then mine. It does look pretty nice though...

I have to kind of smile when I see people judge the quality of a rifle by how hard it is to clean. So it takes an extra five minutes. That's another cup of coffee and a few more tunes on the radio as I relax. They really are not all that hard to clean, but they are a fowling devil. When you shoot that open breech anything near the breech, especially the scope, gets filthy. So yes, it takes a little more time to clean. But try and out shoot that rifle sometime. On the range, you suddenly come to understand what a sweet rifle it really is.It has afree floating barrel.
When I was talking to Thompson Center last week, we got talking about the Triumph and how great it was. I told them the Black Diamond XR shoots good enough for me. He then pointed out that they no longer make the Black Diamond. Although he admitted it was an excellent rifle.
I am guessing that the breech plug is frozen in place, and the barrel is rusty and that is why he is selling it so cheap. Still there is the stock and trigger on the thing.
If no one else wants it, I'll buy the thing. Like I need another Black Diamond XR. Still for that price, I've put more then that down the urinal on a night out with dinner and drinks...

Are you sure you don't want to save those $$$ for your KRB purchase?
Well, I'll call the guy and set up a look-see for sometime this week, and let you know what I find. It might be junk, but then again it might be a jewel.
