Is this a black powder forum? I think yourpost looks a little fishy. :D However, if yousprinkle on a little pepper (the other black powder?) when you cook it everything will be OK. NICE FISH!

Actually he melted down some Power Belts for fishing weights and thought that would qualify it for this forum. But whatever you do don't tell FG what he did, he may have a nervous breakdown.

You don't need to melt them down - just put a little screw eye in the tip. (sorry gander) :D

Gander melts them down for round balls, claims that shoot straighter and penetrate deeper, don't break apart and are very easy to load in his rifles. Only problem is cost, at $1/PB he only gets 2 round balls out of a350g PB.

Very nice fish, looks like a lake trout, is that what it is? My dad use to take me fishing for them near PennYan, which is not farTrumansburg I believe. He cought some but I never did, but I liked stopping at the places on the way back for a Hamburg and soda.

Well its too hot and humid to shoot now anyway. So what the heck - ya may as well go fishing (especially if you don't have a woman around).

They do great chap. Especially when you're not shooting 150 load at short distance ;)

I get double the use out of all the lead i shoot. No reason to be wasteful. Only melt the recovered stuff.
