Scopes for the muzzleloader???????
 

I have been looking at the Nikon Omega scope which is
made for muzzleloaders or shot guns..I would like to
know if any of you have any experence with this scope
and if so,how do you like it..They do look like a good
choice..Thanks...johnny

Consider the facts: that scope is designed for one load 150gr Pyrodex pellets and a 250gr Shock Wave IF your gun will shoot this load accurately or a substitute load that has the same trajectory then by all means get it the problem is most guns do not have the necessary accuracy using that heavy a load, most get the best accuracy with 120 grs or less which regulates the usefulness of that particular scope to the level of chest ornaments on a boar. i have the omega and i like it,yes it is designed for the 250gr sw and 150gr powder but the fact is it works great with any powder bullet combo you just have to dial it in for your setup thats the idea behind the bdc reticle i shoot 100gr of triple seven and either 300gr barnes mz or 300gr sst and the reticle works great its alot better than guessing hold over on a animal
or not shooting at all

turk1270, Iam glad it works well for you maybe I am missing something here, is there a way you can adjust the relationship between the aiming points[ or circles in this case].
I am shooting a Triumph with 120gr BH and a 200gr Shock Wave it shoots at 2250 fps 2.5inches high at 100yd and dead on at 170 at 200yd it is 2,75 to 3 inches low. I though about a Nikon Omega but when I looked up the specs it did not impress me but some times I miss some things. Lee
