Well.....I did it!
I just got back from buying the KRB 7! I will post pics when I learn how!

RE: Well.....I did it!
The shop owner said Knights scope bases are not 'standard'- can someone recomend a good set of bases?
|
RE: Well.....I did it!
what ever rings/base you get, Get the highest ones possible! I hear those KRB's are PITA when a scope is mounted.

RE: Well.....I did it!
Well, I hope it works out for you, they are a well built gun. Lee

Congrats on the new KRB. As Gander said, putting a scope on the KRB can be trying with trying to drop the primers in place. You'll find a way that works good for you. I have hams for fingers and my KRB with the Nikon scope took a little time to primer but I fugured out a way that works good for me. Shooting it without a scope is not a option cause I've had surgery in both eyes. I picked up the Weaver #45 (48045 gloss) top mount bases for mine but didn't use them yet. I had another set that worked, can't remember the brand Maybe some CVA mounts?? You'll also forget to set the trigger safety before you fire it. Have fun with it and make sure you give us a range report.
Here's mine. ![]() |

RE: Well.....I did it!
Now you did it, your in a heap of trouble now!
|
RE: Well.....I did it!
Mama just smiled...no trouble....yet!
I also read that anything that will fit a Rem 541 will fit the Knight KRB |
RE: Well.....I did it!
Good luck with your new rifle... Underclocked should be able to tell you the scope mounts and rings needed for that rifle...

RE: Well.....I did it!
The one-piece Knight base for the Vision will work on the KRB7 as well. Just don't fully tighten any screws until you have them all started. Add a set of good QD rings and you would be in business. Medium height and maybe even some low rings would be fine using that base.
Knight part number 900777 http://www.keystonecountrystore.com/Blackpowder/Knight_Muzzleloaders/Knight_Scope_Base_one_Piece_Blued_for_Vision/Page_1/BLK3062507.html Look at the pic and you will see that base provides a lot of flexibility in positioning rings. |
RE: Well.....I did it!
Thank you! The dealer I bought it from was NOT a Knight dealer.
|
RE: Well.....I did it!
Congrats on the new rifle.
|
RE: Well.....I did it!
Congrats! Let us know how it shoots.

RE: Well.....I did it!
Lets hear how she shoots. I'm curious as well, all my Knights shoot well with 250 gr shockwaves and 100 gr of pellets or loose power.
