I shoot the Bull Shops in .451 in the new White M97 and I can not complain about accuracy in the least... Underclocked had a picture showing the different conicals he offers.. that would be a good guide to help you order. Perhaps he will read this and post again that photo..

I have a .458 from Green Mountain. It seems to like bullets in the .454 range. I am making my own bullets with a lee 459-405-HB Mould. Mine pours a 385 gr hollow base bullet. I then size them to .454 and then to .451 then I paper patch them and then I size them to .454 and then again to .451
I am getting some amazing groups with these bullets. Here are a couple of groups. One was shot naked one was shot with paper.

This next picture is of three 45 cal bullets I make. The one on the left is a Lyman Whitworth bullet 475 gr. The next is the Lee 385 gr and the last is a Lee mini 300 gr. Ron

Idaho, Do you have any of those Lee 300 Mini i could buy to try out? Say from 25 to 50? My bore measures .452 Land and a .461 Groove. Do you think those would fit snug in the bore? The great plains pretty much fell down the bore with the weight of the ramrod and i did not like that at all.

PM me if you'd like to sell me some of those mini's.

I don't have that many made right now. I do have 12 that are as poured .454 the weight is 315 because the lead was very soft. I don't plan on making any for a while. You can have these if you want to try them. Ron

I don't think Bull Shop (Dan) has the LEE 457-340F mold but you could probably find someone that does and have a few made in pure then sized to .451" (or to your bore's needed diameter).

Those shotvery wellin a Knight 1:30 twist and I think they would meet any 2x criteria that might be in place (mabye, not sure).

Well looks like i can get 100 bullets for $20.75 + S/H from BS. I am going to wait for those .454's from Idahoron to come in so i can see how the 454's fit in the bore. Dan would have to order a .453 sizer and i dont really want to cause that much trouble. If i have to, i'll settle on a .452 conical and glue a felt wad onto the bottom to hold it a little tighter in the bore.

I think i'll go ahead and stock up on them and go with 200 conicals. That should keep my rifle shooting for a few days :D

RE: Bullshop's in a .45?

I have 12 Lee Mini's on the way and 15 paper patched 459-405-HB's that weigh 386 gr. I sized the patched bullets to .451 but remember if you think that they will work but you want them bigger you can paper patch them and size them to .454 or .452 and those are easy to get regular size dies that cost under 20 dollars.
Let me know how they work for you. I didn't have much luck with the naked Mini's. After I paper patched them I liked them. But the hollow base bullets shot so well I didn't go back. Remember to lube them before you shoot them.
I sent them priority mail so you should see them in a couple of days. Ron
