RE: Patterning the Knight TK 2000
Dave, I put one of these on my hard kicking guns. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0009277221946a&type=product&cm Cat=SEARCH&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=recoil+pad&N=4887&a mp;Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&am p;Ntt=recoil+pad&noImage=0
They guy from "allaboutshooting" swears by them, he does a lot of shooting with turkey loads, so I bought one and it really makes it easier to pull the trigger.

Dave, how you are loading it is what I've done but I also have been leaving out the over powder card and just load the wad over the powder then fill your cup and top off with a card packed tight and that seemed impressive as well. One thing I have not tried is just loading powder then fill a wad cup then pour the shot down then top off with a card. The TK's have a jug choke in them that suppoesedly lets the shot expand then constricts it just before exit. I wonder if no shot cup would have any effect on the patterning. Dang that's one more thing to try now. Still fun to know you can take birds at long distances.

Now you have me thinking of a whole bunch of other things to try... I will give what you said a try. This gun might push a little but is a lot of fun to see the stuff fly. So far I really like the APP in it. I might kick it up to 120 grains and see what happens.

Period E - May 14th through the 18th. By then all the people who wanted to go have hit the woods and went home, the birds are grouping up and the gobblers wander more, plus I have the farm all to myself. Its nice and quiet there.
Good luck in Period D. That is another favorite one of mine.
