Default Lee REAL Bullets

Where can you buy these bullets? I see you guys mention them a lot, but I only could find the moulds for them.

Bill Davis used to make them. He lived in Florida, but moved his business to Utah now. I just checked his site and found this message.

We are updating our site and products, and relocating our business to Utah.
Orders already accepted/processing will be filled before the move, but we cannot accept new ones
until we are done moving, which can be as late as April 2008. We apologize for any inconvenience,
for questions please call at 352-473-0380.
Bill makes a good bullet. His turn around time was getting a little slow I was told, although I never had a problem with Black Jack Hillwhich is the company Bill Davis owns... Give him a call and see if he is in operation. I would guess he is not but you never know. He sells a wide selection of muzzle loading bullets like the REAL bullets, and some other ones..

I ordered some .50 caliber320 grain REALs from Black Jack Hill last fall and didn't receive the bullets until about two months later. However, they were of excellent quality and price was very reasonable.

Me too.. But I checked my supply of them and noticed last time the nephews came up, they were shooting them. And darned if they did not about shoot them off. Plus the neighbor kid was lead shy so I gave him a couple packs as well... Now I have to cast some more.

I am casting my own.50/250s also. I ordered the 320 grainers to see how they shoot and decide if I wanted to get a mould for them also.

My Trade Rifle really likes the 320s. I tried them in my Kentucky pistol and they flew pretty good out to about 20 yds. Patched round ball was easier on me, though.
Haven't tried them in the KRB, it likes the HornadyXTP 240s way too much.
Which reminds me, I have to post my range results with the KRB and the XTPs.

LEE R.E.A.L. molds: .44 in 185 and 235 grains, .45 in 250, .50 in 250 and 320 grains, .54 in 300 and 380, .58 at 440 grains LEE Minie's .36 Minnie, 117 grains... Real varmint medicine .45 Minie's in 300 grain with a hollow base and the same Minie at 330 grains with a solid base, I have these in base diameters .450, .452, or .445 .50 in the 370 gr Improved Minie or the 355 gr Target Minnie, the same bullets with a flat base weighing 415 and 400 respectively .575-500 Minnie, hollow based and solid base Lee .450 200 grain R1 that's great in the Underhammer Pistol or any of your .44 blackpowder outfits that you'd prefer to shoot a conical in (except the Ruger)... I can't think of anything you'd want that I don't have a mold for... and I'll add to my collection for a customer that has one of my rifles and has a specific request... everything works well and will give field accuracy or target accuracy from a 1:66 or faster twist except where noted... dimensions are as follows: .319 Lyman 110 grains .319 for .32's .32 Rapine .326 diameter or sized to .323 for 1:48 or faster twist weighs 125 grains .32 T/C Maxi base .318 driving band .325 weight 103 grains .32 Maxi base .318 driving band .325 weight 110 grains .36 Maxi base .358 +/- .002 driving band .365 weight 128 grs .36 Minnie mikes .365 weighs 117 grs .44 R.E.A.L. base .440 driving band .445 weight 200 grs .44 R.E.A.L. base .435 driving band .445 weight 235 grs LEE .45 R.E.A.L. you'll probably want to size this if you use alloy base .450 driving band .465 weighs 250 grs .45 T/C Maxi base .450 driving band .454 or I can size to .451 weight 240 grs .45 Lyman base .452 driving band .454 or sized to .451 weight 215 or 225 grains .45 Minnie hollow base .445 driving band .448 weight 294 grs not for 1:66 .45 Minnie hollow base .452 driving band .454 weight 300 grs not for 1:66 .45 Minnie solid base .445 or.452 driving band .454 or sized to .451 weight 330 grs not for 1:66 .50 LEE Conical .500 base and driving band 460 grains .50 Lyman Maxi 385 grains .50 T/C Maxi base .500 driving band .504 weight 370 grs .50 Maxi Hunter Hollow Point base .500 driving band .508 wieght 350 grains .50 R.E.A.L. base .500 driving band .515 weight 320 grs .50 Lee Minnie hollow base .498 driving band .502 weight 370 grains .50 Lee Target Minnie hollow base .498 driving band .502 weight 355 grains .50 NEI solid base .496 driving band .500 weight 490 grains not for 1:66 .54 LEE conical base and driving band .542 600 grains .54 NEI Maxi 460 grains .54 T/C Maxi base .538 driving band .542 weight 430 or 400 grains .575 Lyman Minie 520 grains in lead .58 NEI .580 base 560 grains in alloy 600 in lead works well in T/C .58's .622 NEI 900 and 750 grains...not for 1:66! see the .62 announcement for data I've found the Maxi's to be the heaviest bullets in the caliber to stablize and exhibit target accuracy in 1:66 twist barrels with heavier bullets working only in faster twists so the weights listed are a good place to start and depending on the game, a good place to settle. I can't imagine the need for a heavier bullet in any of the calibers the Maxi's are built for but if you like, I'll give about anything a try... I've picked up a lube and sizer with quite a few dies so if you'd like I can size and lube your bullets with the hard wax that makes loading a much cleaner affair... Shipping with the post office is $5.85 for two pounds so you can see why I encourage .32 and .36 caliber with 67 and 54 bullets to the pound, respectively. You get 29 to the pound in .45 Maxi but only 18 in .50 and 16 in .54... I'd be happy to deliver the big bullets for $2 a pound and postage to my customers... a lot cheaper than the store... and these have been sorted, weighed, miked, and delivered!

I've never ordered from him but his should be ok as I've read no major complaints. At $2/lb the 320 grain REALs should be about a dime each, discounting any shipping costs.
