My First SideLock Before and After

I bought this from a friend
Before

I disassembled the whole gun, used brasso on brass, lemon oil on the stock and used gunscrubber on the lock and trigger parts then new oil.used foaming bore cleaner with a brass brush inside the bore untill I got clean patches then oiled the bore. Here it is now

The knife is a custom made by a fireman friend of mine, the wood matches real nice.
I am pleased with the results and had a good time doing it.I think I would like to do another.

Careful talkin about that boy,he is pretty special to me Mr bigtimer.
I cant tell you how tickled I am to have this rifle and to know it came from some mighty fine people makes it even better for me.I become very attatched to my hunting equipment,I cant wait to work up a good load for it and go hunting.
