RE: What to use?

Thanks for the help guys. First off, FG - I'm really sorry you have to live in CO. I hear there's a 12 Step program to help with it though.I'll probably grab some of the green crush ribs. I'll look for the Speer gold dots. I was looking around a little the other night and didn't see them, but I was also limited on time, so they could have been there. From what I'm undersanding, the green crush ribs would be best for a .44 cal bullet and the black crush ribs would be best fora .45 cal bullet?
I thought about trying to do something with the crown of my KRB, but in the end I decided it wasn't worth the risk. That said, the first couple bullet/sabots I tried to load were a nightmare. There was one of them I couldn't even get past the crown, and two others that when I finally did get past, there were plastic shavings left from the sabot.
I have heard a lot about conicals shooting well out of my gun. When things look a little better, I'll probably do some experimenting. I do have some Powerbelts and some T/C Maxihunters laying around somewhere.

Once you get settled in with that gun a bit... I would really suggest you call Knight and decribe your problem to them... especially using this sentance

There was one of them I couldn't even get past the crown, and two others that when I finally did get past, there were plastic shavings left from the sabot.
Nobody wants to send a brand new rifle back - but at times it needs to be done...

Seriously call Knight and describe the probem to them... that part is free.

The only reason I felt a little comfortable re-working my crown is that I have done crown work before using Underclocked as a the director. This job I did not have the guts to get the power equipment out - just turned the hone by hand...
