Johnny 2-Crescent Butt Plate

Below is a picture of my 1885 Browning. I did not like the Crescent butt plate. I shoot mine a bunch so I had to do something. I found a red Winchester pad. I had a professional install the pad for me. I know it is not original, but it looks close. And it sure feels a **** of a lot better when I shoot my rifle. Tom.

I did not like the way the crescent plate pinched me when I shot it. That rifle is a 45-70. Yes the guy did do a good job. Do you see what is left of the crescent butt plate on the top of the stock?? The smith did make it look good. Tom.
