Omega stock screw
any body know what the recommended torque on the stock screw is?
|
RE: Omega stock screw
I don't know what is recommended, the most important thing is to be consistent. My POI varied greatly when I was not. I ended up pillar bedding the gun which eliminated the problem.

RE: Omega stock screw
With the way most MZ stocks are built, and basically not bedded, your question is a difficult question to answer. It also depends on your stock material, and the "flimsyness" of the material. And if any material needs removed. I believe I mentioned this on one of your other posts. As stated above, consistency is key. But consistently too tight or to loose is not good. Is your barrel floated?? I have seen some that are, and spme that are not. You definitely do not want to tighten so tight that you develop any barrel pressure points. You are just getting into where you need to be to do long distance BP shooting.
I would recommend calling the factory, they can tell you what they set it at, then you can go from there. Good Luck, Tom. |

Yes my barrel is floated, laminate stock. was just wondering if anybody knew the factory specs off the top of their head.
