Disk Extreme & MHC Barrel

Well, I could not talk myself into buying the KRB - but after hearing about this deal - I sold one gun, to appease Terry, actually I did not need it as I already have an Omega and ordered this Disk Extreme 50 cal $259.00- it suppose to be here Tuesday - hope the snow melts a lot between now and then...

Hope all you guys that swear by Knight are right...and they are good as you say.

Here is my hang-up on the KRB or actually any inline pivoting hammer gun including the Omega.... I am old fashioned - I really do not like the idea of pulling a hammer back to shoot, I really like the old fashioned trigger safety... it is ok with a sidelock - there is a lot of hammer to get ahold of especially with gloves on...but I really like the thumb safety.

If this barrel is as good as advertised - I should be quite happy...

Oh well time will tell...

Sabotloader my came today about 11am. It has MHC stamped on the barrel which I am excited about. The gun feels awsome. It also comes with a DVD and on that DVD it says not to use soap and water on the trigger assembly. I always used soap and water to clean the trigger on my Bighorn and that is how I clean the triggers on my White Lightnings and they are alot like the Knight triggers. I spray them with a light coat of Rem Oil afterwards and I have never had a problem. What is everybody thought on this procedure?

I am in the same boat as you. I used hot soap and water to clean the trigger assembly. Then I blow that out with an air compresser, and then pour some isopropyl alcohol through it and hit it again with the air compressor, and finally shoot a light gun oil in there. How do they suggest to clean it then?

I wonder why? I use soap & water on the assembly of my Mustang, then blast it with carburetor cleaner spray to dry it out, then a light oiling. Never any problem.

I'd e-mail them and ask them WHY?

Well, of course. Then you have to buy a KNIGHT product. That's just marketing, guys. Steel is steel, I treat my KRB the same as my Trade Rifle. Clean em the same and ....ta da....no rust.
Knight marketing. Buy our cleaner because nothing else will work as well. Pshaw, says I.;)

that figures.. try to sell their product. Well then the same could be done with alcohol or brake cleaner for that matter. Unless it would effect the parts if there are any plastic. Like I said, I been doing it that other way for a long time and my triggers break nice and crisp.
