Primers for the Omega

I've been shooting my Omega and using the Win209 primers. They work good but it seems like half of them are hard to get in far enough before I can close the action. Does anybody have any suggestions on which primers might fit a little bit better. Maybe the CCI's or Federals. I'm not going to use the special muzzleloader primers because of the price. I am just hoping a regular 209 by another company will work. If not I will stick with the regular Winchesters. Thanks

Make sure the primer pocket is clean, if thats no problem then check the mating faces on the breach plug and barrel. the breach plug needs to but snug I know some people recomend backing them up but on the Omega it needs to be good and clean and snuggedas tight as you can get it with your fingers. Make sure your breech plug is all the way in and snug... not tight - but them i use Remington 209-4's which are no longer available also i use the French Cheddite - they really work well...

You are lucky you are not closer to me - with your experiance I would be following you all over the place...

Kinda what I think especially the latter... but there are some 209's that are thicker than normal, but I forgot what they were....

I use the win 209 and like them. Idf you are having problems you can probably trace it back to your BPlug not being seated correctly
