Read this: http://www.chuckhawks.com/clean_muzzleloader.htm. Cayugad will give a detailed list of essentials, that he can cut and paste in. Sabotloader can give you a picture of his dry box, with arrows to every item in his box. You need patches, some rubbing alochol and some windshield washer fluid to clean your gun. I buy patches from RMCSports, usually in 500, the round 2.5" patches are best. You need a separate cleaning rod, your ram rod will work, but it is easier to get a longer "range rod". Powder. Bullets. I love the bullet topic---I am very biased toward strong bullets not "mushrooming" or fragmenting bullets. I have an Omega and I get this accuracy in my Omega with 300g Nosler Partition HG bullets:

3x9 Bushnell Elite Rainguard Firefly scope. Your on a "journey" now and getting to ML compentence takes patience, dedication and practice, but it is so much more fun that CF shooting.

I buy bullets from MidSouth shooters supply and MidwayUsa. I buy powder local, so I don't have to pay he $20 fee for haz materials.

You may also want to check www.trophyshuntinggear.com.They specialize in T/C's and also sell Knight. I recently bought a Triumph and so far it has been great; easy to load and clean. I have only shot the 250 gr. Shockwaves and 300gr. XTP's with 777 pellets; itwill be very whitetail accurate.

Cleaning is simple, get some water, Windex, patches, brush/antiseize for the breech/plug,and a little oil for the barrel after a thorough cleaning.

Also, I swab the barrel after each shot with a Windex patch and follow up with a dry one. Cayugad may give a little more detail......

The breech plug is improved with a "speed" breech, there is no blow back of the gun back into the trigger assembly. The stock is improved. I have an Omega, I had to send the gun back to TC and they replaced the Trigger Assembly, seems the blow back got back down into the trigger and eventually it would not hold the hammer back. That is the only flaw of the origonal Omega, and the Triumph fixes that I hear. I don't have a Triumph, but did read the product features and I know what happen to my Omega, so that is why it is improved. Accuracy is about the same. Cleaning is easier on the Triumph because of the speed breech. Chap

The Triumph is suppose to be an improved Omega, and it is in theory but then it took a step back when the made it into a break-open. Just my opinion but a break open is OK for shot guns but I do not like them for rifles.... guess I am just to old...
