I saw these pictures once before, some time ago... Bears are amazing what they will do to eat. Black Bear are very common where I live. Although hunting has really thinned them out lately. They come in to the yard, but not as often as in the past. It used to be, every day you would see a bear in the woods by the side of the house. The first year I lived here I lost several bird feeders. Now when spring hits, all the feeders come down and do not go back up until there is snow on the ground. You're only inviting trouble to have bear frequent your yard and house area as they soon become more and more brave, and start to do some strange things for food. And the people that feed them are just asking for trouble sooner or later. One fellow had one enter his house through a patio door. One had a back door tore off the hinges. And windows do not last long if a bear wants in.

I have a berry patch on the side yard and in season, you really need to pay attention to the berry patch when you suddenly come out the door. I have on more then one occasion spooked one out of the patch. Actually my dog is the best indicator of if a bear is in the area. If there is a bear close, every hair on his back from ear to tail will stand straight up and he walks around stiff legged and growing. I've beenin tree stands, and see and smell them come through too often. Ground blinds can get even more hairy. 99% of the time bear will not really bother you. All they want to do is get away.

We tried to feed the deer year round a few years back...Dang bear climbed the tree and smacked the fire out of the Moultree feeder, knocked it off the barrel, which droped about 4 bags of corn on the ground...After that, we started taking them down each year...
