75 yards, .440 home cast PRB
75 yards today, 60 grains pyrodex p, .015 ox yoke patch lubed with crisco. I used the side of a tree branch to rest my rifle stock on. Not that great of a rest when there are 25-30MPH wind gusts lol.
#1 shot i pulled up on and was my fault. #2 was good i was happy #3 and #4 i was whistling dixie. #5 i said a few swear words when the rifle hang fired. That was my fault, i didnt tip the rifle to the side when i pushed the load down. Might go do some more shooting tomorrow if the wind is calm. But shots 3 and 4 show me that i have an accurate load. |

With that wind I'd be happy to just hit the target! Looks like you might be on to something with that load.

Yeah hopefully it will be calmer out tomorrow. I need to build some shooting sticks so i can rest my rifle better. Its perfectly dead on out to 75 yards. Maybe a 100 yards but i darn sure wasnt going to try this today in this wind:D

When shooting patched roundball, any kind of group in a strong wind is good. People really need to remember wind. Especially when hunting. It looks like you have a good load there.
