krb7
Does anybody know what the 7 stands for?
|
RE: krb7
Oh and cayugad, I think its time you go purchase one. You have had enoughtime to think about it. Time is up.
|
RE: krb7
Someone, maybe it was FG in another thread, said it was probably their 7th try at it and finally got it right.:D
|
RE: krb7
The 7 designates the stainless model. That is the one I bought. Nice Rifle!!!!!
|
RE: krb7
I just went to
http://www.knightrifles.com/catalog.aspx?catID=NewProducts And they have the designation for the one I bought (black & blue) as KRB607C. I reckon the KRB707C (composite & stainless) is the most popular model, therefore everyone calls it a KRB7. Knight just lists them as KRB unless mentioning a specific variation. But when I bought it, even the factory stuff for this specific rifle said KRB7, not just KRB. Gotta be a reason. |
RE: krb7
Its because they want that model to be my 7th inline rifle... But I am not going to do it.
Knight Rolling Block 7 .... that's a good question. Some one call Knight and make them explain that to us. |

RE: krb7
It shore is a handsome rifle, Dave.

RE: krb7
yes it is.. but would it shoot better then the ones I already have? I think not.
|
RE: krb7
Dave really needs a KP1 so he can shoot the heck out of it, post his results, and get all these guys off my butt for not shooting more. :D :D ;)
He doesn't mind freezing. :D |
RE: krb7
Looked at both the KP1 and KRB7 and as purely a muzzleloader the KRB7 seem a better mouse trap. I like the hammer on the KRB7 better and cleaning the KP1 looks like it would be more of a chore.YMMV

RE: krb7
It shore is purty, Dave. It feels good in the hands and has a good heft to it. The stock (composite on mine) is substantial. Not hollow or feeling like it's made by MATTEL. It breaks down so easy for cleaning, ...why, I can have it apart and ready to clean in about a minute.
Even scoped, it's so easy to slip that 209 in there, once that block is rotated down. Knight really did do it right ,for meat least. ![]() |
RE: krb7
I read some place where they (Knight)said there were 6 proto types before the one that was put on the market there fore KRB 7.
I had posted that a long time back maybe last spring. :)Al |
RE: krb7
Well, I named FG as probably saying that, but I probably read your post.
I don't mind 6 prototypes before they got it right. At least they didn't put the KRB1 on the shelf.;) |
RE: krb7
ORIGINAL: Underclocked I didn't care for the rolling "block" either as the one on the newer stainless model they had on display was difficult to operate ... does that wear in and get easier? |
RE: krb7
cayugad, how can you be sure of that? You never know. Lee
