New Addition to the Family
 

I'm brand new to muzzleloading. I've always hunted with a CF, soafter some research I bit the bullet and finally bought a new T/C Triumph (All Camo). I was tore between it and the CVA Optima Pro, but I think I made a good decision going with the T/C. I topped it with a Leupold Vari-X I 3x9x40; I think this will be a greatpiece once I figure out some loads.

I know this has been asked, I would like some ideas for some loads you guys have worked up. I did purchase the T/C Shockwaves 250gr. yellow tips and 300gr. XTPs.Hopefully after the weather breaks Ican getfamiliar with itand get it dialed in!

100 gr 777 and those .250gr Shockwaves should sing for ya.Good luck ya done good

I would get some 777 FFG and Pyrodex RS and try different powder charges with both of those bullets. I've used both of the bullets you mentioned in my T/C Omega with good results. The 300gr XTPs favored a smaller charge (110), but the 250gr shockwaves work great at 120-130grs RS. I would start small, about 90gr, and work up shooting 3 shot groups and increasing powder by10gr at a time.

Welcome to the sport... you are going to get hooked fast. It sounds like an excellent rig you have there. And the load information IMO is excellent that has been suggested. Good luck and keep us posted.

I have a TC Triumph, I found the most important thing for mine was finding the right sabot, I expected it to use the MMP-HPH24 as is commen with many TC guns but my bore was a bit tight for it,when I tried Crush Rib sabots it started going down to an inch with some loads and occasionally under.
What shoots good in mine
Best 200gr SW with 110 777-FF win209
Gold Dot 250 gr with 110 777-FF win209
250gr SW with 90 gr 777-FF win209
200gr XTP 50/40 blue MMP 90 gr 777-FF win 209
300gr SW or Gold Dot with 110gr 777-FF win209
