It will be good as long as you keep it sealed up.I have used smokeless powder that was 30 years old.I shot some Dupont 3f last fall.Dupont sold thier black powder plant to Gearheart&Owen in 1973,and they be came GOEX.All the surplus 4831 that hodgon sold in the 50's,60's,and 70's was from WW 2.When they sold that stuff a fella had to take his own can or get it in a paper sack.For the most part that stuff was exposed to the atmosphere when it got to a retailer.I don't rember hearing about it going bad until about 1990.

Keep the lids tight. I store my powders in 20mm ammunition containers with rubber gaskets and keep in a cool dry place. Inside I keep a dessicant cannister to absorb moisture which I re-charge every so often by drying them out in the oven. Been doing this for over 25 years.
