Scope for my ML???

Well I'm pretty excited..I bought a used CVA Buckhorn 209 from a buddy & I can already tell this is going be as addicting as my bowhunting crap...haha..
Anyway the gun has a scope on it but I'm not a fan...I'm looking for some suggestions for a good scope that wont break the the bank $150-$300

Nikon Pro Staff or a Bushnell Banner Dusk to Dawnseries. Both are good scopes. The Bushnell can be found for $69.00 and the Pro Staff normally sell for $129.00

One of the better Bushnells ,or a Swift. If you will be hunting with it itsbest to stay with a good size objective lens and low power to keep the lumes up to where dusk and dawn shooting is practical. I prefer a 2X7X40 myself. Lee

Couple of things...

I really do prefer the bushnell Elite 3200 with rain guard lenses ( very seldom need scope covers) - I prefer the ballistic recticlue but the dual X works just fine..

Which ever scope you choose check these guys for prices...

These are the one I like

or

Not that the ones Cayugad discussed are bad

New or used Leupold VX-1 2x7x33 or 3x9x40. Both will come with a lifetime no bs warranty.

Others would be Nikon Prostaff or Buckmaster, Burris Fullfield II.

Check out for style and price comparisions (scads of other online sites as well, but the folks at midsouth are top shelf):

If the base and rings are good then you can get a nice scope in the $150-300 window. As always, I recommend to get the best optics you can afford. You will not regret quality optics.

Does not have to be a "muzzleloader" scope (marketing fluff for the most part). Any quality riflescope.

For that price range, Prostaff Nikon. They make their own glass.... lifetime warrenty. All mine are Leupold except one older Nikon buckmaster. Hard to beat.

Leupold VX II 2x7 would be at the top of the list , followed by Nikon Omega 3x9...both have plenty of eye relief as well as good glass

I bought the Nikon Pro Staff 2x7x32 for muzzleloader and I'm very happy with it. I also have one on my slug gun
