RE: how long have you been using one

I was allowed to shoot my Gpa's back in 1958. I didn't get one myself until 1972, bought a H&R Huntsman .58 perc. and started deer hunting. Been doing it fer awhile and have enjoyed it. Have almost quit shooting my cenerfire rifles.

Hunted with sidelock muzzleloaders in the 70s, including a couple of veryold ones. Some friends and i cast and lubed our own bullets. Killed several deer with those guns. Was transferred away from southern MD and gave it up.

Got back into muzzleloading in 2000 with the purchase of a cheap CVA Staghorn.Have had two other CVA inlines andnow an Encore. That Staghorn keeps on hunting with me because it is so light and easy to carry. It is also soaccurate that i shoot rabbits and squirrels in the heads with it.
