26 ACP Work? Where do I get one.
I have read many reviews and I have yet to form an opinion. For those who have used the 25 ACP what are the benefits?. Does it help the dreaded TC crud ring? I know Sabot loader has this conversion and I value his opinion. Where do we get this breach plug? I do have the Omega.

Don't know about them but here is one place to get them http://www.prbullet.com/hornet.htm Something i just tried to get rid of the crud ring was to duplex the load with 20 grains of American Pioneer powder then complete the load with T7 (100-20=80 grains). Worked well no ring a shot well. My son and i took 2 does with it this weekend. |

oldwun
I do have one that I purchased from PR - kinda expensive, but for me it was worth it - only because it stopped the blowback into the firing pin area and what use to go up against the scope. I did not find any difference in accuracy, and I really can not say that it did anything for the "crud ring" cause I get so little of it anyway... The second & third ones that i have I took to my local machinist and he drill them out from the pattern that I provided him. |

Build up of burned powder at the barrel end of breach plug.

Did you ever burn sugar on the bottom of a pan? Sort of the same thing except it looks like concrete. It's primarily a problem with Triple7 powder and is easily managed by damp/dry swabbing your bore after each shot. And it does not always occur in every rifle in every environment.

$60 seems a little steep for breech plug drilled. I guess you do get a few 25ACP hulls. Maybe it's not bad after just putting 80 gal of diesel in the Duramax @ $3.37 a gal
