RE: powerbelt bullets
Some people swear by them some swear at them, when its all taken into account there is just too many freak blow ups; also the company that makes them recommends 70 to 90gr RS, 100grs of 777 -FFF would likly go off like a fire cracker while a 100grsofAPP-FF would be about right. If you really like that type bullet try a Sabortooth,if you want a good load thats reliable for any kind of game use a 300gr Gold Dot or SW; the one thats really amazing is the 200gr 50/40 SW its the flatest shooting reliably opening with really good penatration bullet that I have seen.
I am playing with some new 40 cal bullets this year they look good so far, for some reason the 40 cal bullet of 200 gr seems to be very accurate in all my inlines. Lee

RE: powerbelt bullets
frontier gander,I have shot several boar with them ranging from 80 to 240 pounds they did quite well I was using 110 gr RS and when I did not hit any big bone I got pass throughs, the one spun as I shot and I hit him square on the shoulder it did not pass through but it did drop him bang flop. I often carry them as a reload when hunting boar they load fast [I have only use the 250 and 300gr all boar were shot using the 300gr]I normally avoid these kind of bullets because any thing that loads easy will move off the powder easier. RE: powerbelt bullets
guys powerbelts or any other bullet you use can go wrong and have badthings happen to them. face it there muzzle loaders they are not a gun that never has problems. there are so many factors that effect your bullet. the way you clean your gun, if you use butterbore, how you cleaned it, of if there is moisture. bullets are a personal preference. if you like to see how fast your bullet will go pb's are not the way to go apparently so experiment with all sorts and take some advice from these guys on this site with experience.
