Nosler Partitions
 

Ok guys, I am sure this has been beat to death but I am going to give it a try.

I have the knight disc which I have shooting pretty good but I am not against trying to do better and besides, I love to shoot ML's.
I have read abd heard to many good things about the Nosler Partitions and ML's. What bullets are you guys using ?? And whereare some places I can get a hold of them ?
I was looking on Mid South Shooters Supply website and there are a few options.

Pointed, hollow points, round nose ???

Please be as specific as possible.

Natchezss.com is whereI get my Noslers... out of my TC Pro-Hnter I shoot the .451 300 grain PP behind three Shockey's Gold Sticks and I'm getting 5/8" 100 yard groups. This bullet has been awesome on whitetails this year for me. If you want a bit lighter bullet and one that is maybe more suited for deer try the 260 grain Partition,,, use a HPH 12 or HPH 24 if you have a tight bore for sabots. For a box of 50 the 300 grain PP's are $50.49 and the 260's are $44.99. The Noslers are in a class by them selfs, don't let the price scare you. Good luck!:)

I'm useing Speer Gold Dots. 250(?) grain for the 50 cals. And 300gr. 50 cals for the 54 cal.

They also carry Noslers but you might want to call ahead to see if they have in stock what you want. Although other bullet prices have gone up Noslers are not in big demand do to the oncehuge price difference between other brands.
Pepole found other brands cheaper and work just as well.

I shoot the .451 Nosler Partition in 260 grain with a Harvester Crushed Rib sabot in my Knight Disc with 120 grains of Pyrodex RS. Excellent accuracy. Although I have not harvested a deer or anything with them, I have little doubt about what will happen when the time comes..

I have a Knight Disc and I shoot a 300g Nosler Protected Point HG (hand gun), with a crushed rib sabot and 100g of 777 loose. Federal or Winchester primer. I get 1.5" groups with that combo. It is a very deadly bullet, excellent expansion, penetration and shoot thru capability. Chap Gleason

I use 245 & 250 grain Barnes Spit-fire MZ & TMZ bullets. I use the 245 grain MZ in my Knight Disc, in front of 130 grains of pyrodex pellets. I use the 250 grain TMZ in my T/C Thumbhole Omega, in front of 130 grains of 777 pellets. I have had fantastic results!

Although the Nosler Partition bullet is a phenominal bullet, and if it flies good for you, don't change, it's a great bullet!!!

Pictured below is my 245 grain Spitfire MZ boat tailed bullet. I had shot a coyote with it and had seen where it had impacted the soil afte passing through the coyote!

I killed a doe at 180 yards with this bullet and an MMP-24 sabot and 100grain of loose T-7. I later took a buck with this same load @145 yards. Between my son and I, we harvested 4 deer this with this load and all were pass throughs, 3 were dropped on the spot and 1 ran about 50 yards, leaving an impressive blood trail.

Just like the barnes pictues, perfect expansion on something pretty small compared to a deer. I love the Barnes and am going to try the following after hunting season:

Barnes #45105 275g XPB BC of .141, usiing HPH12
Barnes Expander MZ 300g #45131 BC .207, using HPH12
Barnes Origonal 300g #457010 Spitzer SP BC .291, using MMP Orange
Barnes X-bullet 300g XFN 45832 BC .204, using MMP Orange
Barnes X-bullet 300g FB 45802 BC .235, using MMP Orange


I already know the TMZ don't fly for crap in my Savage 10ML2, because of the boat tail and not grabbing the sides of the ML well, but I have all these to try. I have bought the Flat Nose and the Origonals and the Expanders look like the FN, so I am going to forget them, only difference is diamater, so the .458 should shoot about the same and are only $16 for 20 instead of $26 for 24 of the Expander.
