SABOT LOAD IN 1:38 TWIST BARREL
 

i WAS WONDERING HOW A SABOT WOULD BE IN MY GUN , I ONLY HAVE SHOT POWERBELTS IN IT WITH GOOD SUCCESS BUT HAVE NEVER TRIED A SABOT IN IT . DOES ANYBODY SHOOT SAY A SHOCK WAVE OR SST OUT OF THIERS WITH GOOD SUCCESS?

I have a 1-38 CVA Stalker and it will shoot 300 grain sabots pretty good. I found that because of the short barrel I only need to push them with about 80 grains of powder. It also shoots Powerbelts and Saber Tooth Conicals very well. I have been shooting 300 grain Hornady XTP's out of it.

My System One will do a fine job with 230gr XTP[150gr RS]and 250g rXTP 120 grRSin the 50 cal barrel and with 300grWidner soft point and 140 gr RS in the 54 barrel. Lee
