Knight rolling block
 

Anyone bought and shot the new Knight rolling block yet? I hear this is one that you don't have to use that infernal red cap anymore. It's not their new rifle one they are doing to run competition with T/C but muzzleloader only.

There is a couple people on the board that use the rolling block and are "getting used to it." So far all the reports are favorable. I sure like the looks of the rifle. I would like to see one in a store before I purchase one, so I might be lucky.. They will never make it to my part of the world.

I shouldered one and I had a little trouble adjusting to it as it didn't exactly line up to my sight without adjusting to it. I think I could get use to it but it doesn't seem to shoulder as smooth as my Omega.

The only knight i handled that shouldered perfectly was the Revolution. I agree with the straight forward stock on the KRB. Still a nice rifle, i just prefer a stock with more drop.

There was a time when I really wanted a new KRB - until I looked at the weight of the gun. If I am going to carry an 8# gun around all day I just firgure I could do that with my White U-Mag.

The weight is about the only thing that I can find negative about it.

The Omega feels pretty light at the end of the day to me - but I am old and retired and tired.

Sabotloader, I know just what you mean. When I was a young man I'd carry any rifle, all day, and go out and dance all night. It never bothered me with a heavy weapon. But now days, the weight of the rifle is very important. If I am walking to a blind, then I do not get too excited. But if I am going to be out all day, following track, or doing stalks to suspected areas, then the weight of the rifle gets to be real important. In the area I hunt, also the barrel length can get critical.

This year, that short barrel on the White Bison made a real nice stalking rifle. With the 1X scope, it was an excellent brush rifle. Also pushing that conical I figured I had a chance should I have to shoot something and plant it.

totally agree... the Omega works very well for me as a brush and long range gun. Although for this elk hunt I am using a Reminton 700ML, because i know it is tuned fro the .458 Nosler Partition.

Snow predictied for tonight - be out there @ dark thirty in the morning looking again for that cow elk... cause I am done hunting deer saw all kinds of this morning...

Good luck sabotloader. I know how hard it is to find those darn elk during hunting season.

The KP1 is spec'd at 8 pounds just like the KRB7. Mine acually weighs 7lbs 4oz. Someone weighed their KRB7 and I believe reported a weight of 7.5lbs.

I really like mine. I know it's listed as weighing 8 pounds, but is doesn't really feel like it. I do know it's substantially lighter than the CVA Optima I carried for2 seasons. Accuracy wise,I can't complain at all. Itreally likes barnes bullets and seems to perfer ahotter charge of powder. I'm currently shooting 110 gr. of Triple Seven. I haven't had much time towork up aheavy conical load yet, but the little shooting I did with the 385 gr. Great Plains conicals showed some good promise. I've got some 410 gr. conicals I plan to play with next timeI'm at the range.
